The short version
This website sets no cookies, doesn't follow you across other sites and doesn't embed services from other providers. For simple visitor statistics we use our own cookie-free solution on our server (see below). We only process what a web server technically needs to deliver the page, and whatever you send us yourself by email.

Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG, Königsberger Straße 4-6, 32339 Espelkamp, Germany, on servers in Germany.
When you open the site, the server processes technically necessary data: your IP address (shortened or pseudonymized), date and time, the address requested, your browser and operating system and, if sent, the page you came from. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure, for example to detect attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The logs are kept briefly and then deleted. We don't use them for statistics and don't combine them with other data.
No cookies
We set no cookies and store nothing on your device. There are no analytics, advertising or social media services from other providers. The fonts (Manrope and JetBrains Mono) are hosted on our own server, so no connection to Google or anyone else is made. The Game of Life in the background of the home page and on the simulator page is computed by your own browser. No data is sent.
Visitor statistics
This website uses no cookies for analytics and embeds no external services. For simple visitor statistics we run our own solution on our server. The data is not passed on and not combined with other sources. We don't store IP addresses. Instead, each visit gets a pseudonymous ID that is assigned anew every day. This rules out recognizing you beyond that day or across other websites. We record usage data such as the page visited, the referring source and the time spent, plus general technical details such as browser, operating system, device type and country. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the statistical analysis of how the website is used. § 25 TDDDG does not apply, as we don't access your device. Browsers with “Do Not Track” or “Sec-GPC” turned on are not recorded. The data is deleted automatically after 400 days.
Contact by email
If you write to us, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, and for inquiries about a contract Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. We delete the message once it's dealt with, unless statutory retention periods require otherwise.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). An informal email to hi@kadeemy.com is enough.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Ours is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
